Welcome to St Paul's C.E. (VA) Primary School

ST PAUL'S SCHOOL AIMS

We are a Church of England School founded to serve the local community. Our purpose is to provide quality education, in partnership with parents and with the Church.

We aim to:

  • Develop each child's full potential in all areas; whether academic, artistic, physical, social or spiritual.
  • Celebrate children's particular talents and actively encourage achievement.
  • Build a caring and supportive community in which all, adults and children, participate with a common sense of purpose and shared responsibility.

We believe that our School, true to its Christian ethos, provides an environment in which our children can grow as self-confident, responsible and valued members of this community.

Year 5/6 Kentwell Hall Trip Report PDF Print E-mail

Kentwell Hall

Kentwell was a completely fascinating experience, which was great fun at the same time. On July 6th 2010 Year 5 and 6 had the luck to get to this place to learn more about Tudor life. It is similar to a castle and there were people there who were actors, pretending they were living in Tudor times. They were very realisitc! Also they told us lots of interesting facts that we didn't know. They spoke in Tudor English and we had to learn some before we went there, especially Aye (Yes) and Nay (No). All the people who worked on the manor had the three things they needed which were food, drink and shelter. Some also got coin (money). The worker with the most coin was in the dairy and the carpenters who all got paid five coins a week. We saw all their fantastic work and I think they enjoyed having us visit. We were dressed as Tudor peasants too! Read on to find out more.
