PE and Sport Premium

Sport Premium for the Academic year 2016-2017

The Sport Premium funding for the academic year 2016-2017 is £8,885.

The funding has been spent as follows:

  • Subscription to Cambridge Schools Sports Partnership. This enables access to sports specialist teaching and also to competitions with other schools in this area.
  • Competitions with other schools included a cricket festival.
  • Subscription to our local cluster sports group. This has enabled access to cluster sports activities such as multi-skills events for various year groups;
    • A and B football league for boys;
    •  girls’ football festival.
  • Time out of class for our member of staff who is a sport specialist. He has worked with other members of staff, providing demonstration lessons, particularly in gymnastics and observing other teachers when they have been teaching gymnastics lessons.
  • A variety of other activities have taken place using our artificial grass field, such as: cricket, football groups and multi-skills.

In addition, a sports specialist teacher regularly taught demonstration PE lessons for members of staff to observe outstanding teaching practice.

  • Year 4 Team Building Event
  • Balanceability for Reception Class children
  • Young Leader Training for Year 6 children

We are also using Sport Premium funding to support us in our Primary School Games Bronze Mark.
