Latin club is run by students from the Department of Classics at Cambridge University as part of a longstanding outreach programme. Children learn some Latin language and discover how Latin is still a living language today. They also learn about life in ancient Rome, what people ate and drank, how soldiers dressed and fought, together with ancient myths and some of the greatest stories ever told.
No previous knowledge is required, books and resources are provided, and the club is free.
Club meets at 3.30 in the Library on Tuesdays, with Autumn term starting on Tuesday 29 October. Anyone with children in years 3-6 who are interested should email either Paul Schofield or Justyna Ladosz at the Classics Faculty; email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org”.
