Learning in Nature at the Botanics
This week children from Years 1 and 2 enjoyed a morning at the University Botanical Gardens. Led by the learning team at the Botanics, we spent part of the session exploring the trees around the garden, learning how to identify them from their leaves. The rest of the time we searched for and examined minibeasts and made cosy homes for hibernating hedgehogs! The trip was part of a wider project to take more of our learning outdoors this year, emphasising our connectedness with the natural world.
