St Paul's at Young Voices
Pupils in Years 3 to 6 had the exciting opportunity to participate in Young Voices – the world’s largest children’s choir – at the O2 Arena in London last week. Alongside around 8,000 other primary school children, they filled the huge arena with songs that included Firework by Katy Perry, Try Everything by Shakira and a medley from the musical Hairspray. It was thrilling to perform in a stadium that has played host to superstars like Beyoncé, Adele, Little Mix and Ariana Grande, with the professional musicians and light show to match.
The concert provided the children with a chance to discover their voices, build confidence and create lasting memories together. Watching them perform was a proud moment for us all, and it was great to see their faces full of joy and excitement.
Huge thanks go to all the staff and volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to make it possible for St Paul’s to attend this event. A special mention goes to Mrs Day, who organised the trip and supported our children in learning all the songs. Thanks also to everyone who supported behind the scenes, without whom this wonderful experience would not have been achievable.
