  • Green Tree School Award - BRONZE!

Fri 12 Jan 2024 Mrs Thake

We are delighted to announce that we have recently achieved the Bronze Green Tree School Award. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to environmental education and sustainability, and we are tremendously proud of this accomplishment.

The Green Tree School Award is a national initiative that encourages schools to take an active role in promoting environmental awareness and eco-friendly practices. The award recognises schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to conserving energy, reducing waste, promoting biodiversity, and encouraging sustainable travel.

In order to attain the Bronze Award, we have been actively working towards a number of environmentally friendly goals, including our recycling initiatives. Eco Club have taken the lead in displaying posters to encourage recycling in school – from crisp packets to ink cartridges.

We will be looking to complete a series of tasks throughout the school to achieve our silver and then gold award throughout 2024.

We firmly believe that it is our responsibility as a school to instil these values in our students, enabling them to become responsible and caring citizens of the world.

Congratulations and thank you everyone involved!

  • The gift of imagination

Thu 11 Jan 2024 Mrs Thake

Our recommended read books are now in the classroom. Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative.

At St Paul's we understand the immense value that imagination holds in a child's overall growth and learning. Imagination plays a vital role in cognitive development, problem-solving skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence. Encouraging children to explore their imagination through reading can support their educational journey and enhance their love for learning. Our recommended read boxes provide each class and year group with an inspiring selection of books which offer variety for all.

We have set up a page on the school website for anyone who wishes to contribute throughout the school year. Please do continue to share with friends and family.
